Projects - Director's House Renovation

Completion date: June 2005/November 2007

Since 1950, the Director's house has stood at the gate of Camp Lael. It has served not only as a year-round residence for the Director and his/her family, but also guest accommodations and the camp offices.

In 2005, through a donation by the Detroit Baptist Union, the Director's house was able to get a new roof and upgraded electrical service.

In the fall of 2006, a fire destroyed the kitchen and caused serious smoke damage to the rest of the house. For the next year, a renovation of the house was done.
