| Since 1950, the Director's house has stood at the gate of Camp Lael. It has served not only as a year-round residence for the Director and his/her family, but also guest accommodations and the camp offices. | In the fall of 2006, a fire destroyed the kitchen and caused serious smoke damage to the rest of the house. For the next year, a renovation of the house was done. | ||
